Last week, the UDS developers took part in BASTA! conference again – online, as in previous years. The conference took place in Frankfurt, Germany from 2 to 6 March 2026 and is considered one of the most important events in the German-speaking world for .NET, web technologies and artificial intelligence.
One trend was clearly evident: artificial intelligence played a much greater role than last year. Numerous sessions showed how generative AI can be integrated directly into software solutions in the future and what impact this will have on daily development work.
Our team was particularly impressed by the first day of the conference on Monday. In full-day workshops, participants were able to work intensively on specific topics, including modern development approaches and AI-supported software architecture.
A provocative question from one session was also hotly debated: ‘Will coders become redundant in the future?’ – a topic that sparked intense discussions and an exciting exchange among the participants.
Another interesting contribution for our developments dealt with smart home systems and the evaluation of user feedback, i.e. the question of how real user data can be systematically used to continuously improve software products.
The bottom line is that participating in the BASTA! conference is worthwhile for our development team every year. The mix of current technology trends, practical insights and lively discussions provides valuable inspiration for our daily work – and that's why we'll definitely be back again next year.
